About the Ford Excursion
Ford introduced the Excursion for the 2000 model year. This extra-large SUV immediately satisfied owners who needed a large amount of cargo space and wanted to transport many passengers. At almost 19-feet long, drivers can pack all of their gear and load up to eight additional family members or friends.
One of the unique utility features owners enjoy is the rear bench seat. The seat is removable and rolls away from the vehicle with built-in wheels. The last Ford Excursion rolled off the assembly line for the 2005 model year.
During the six model years, the Excursion was offered with gasoline and diesel engines. There are rear-wheel drive and 4WD models in the used market. Owners can tow campers, boats or multiple off-road vehicles.
Ford manufactured four unique trim levels including the popular Eddie Bauer. There are spacious storage choices inside for all passengers. The Excursion has many meaningful options including moon roofs, lengthy running boards and plush leather seating.
