Weather and road conditions can change in a matter of minutes. Driving around with ineffective windshield wiper blades can be hazardous. Unlike other elements of a vehicle, like oil changes and air conditioning recharges that have regular maintenance schedules, wipers just wear out and need to be replaced.
Wipers can get warped in the cold, and will lose their flexibility in any climate over time. This will cause the wipers to have less contact with the windshield, and thus reducing their effectiveness.
With so many wiper sizes on the market, it can be confusing to find the correct wiper size. We have created this chart for the Ford Escape.

About the Ford Escape
The Ford Escape was originally developed in partnership with Mazda, in which Ford owned a controlling interest. For the 2001 model year, the Ford Escape made its debut along with the Mazda Tribute. The platform was so successful that Ford later expanded it to include the upscale Mercury Mariner from 2005-2011. The Ford Escape is still around, and driving strong today.
The Ford Escape, sharing its platform with the Bronco Sport, is a compact SUV that comfortably seats up to five passengers. Owners can travel with all family members, including their pets who can easily enter from the tailgate or rear doors.
SUV buyers have chosen the Escape for its dependable on-road handling, capabilities and interior features. Available in FWD and AWD options, the Ford Escape is ready for most any road conditions. Ford’s electronic traction control adds to its consistent ride.
Inside the Escape, owners enjoy the meaningful comfort and convenience features. There are voice-activated touchscreens, wireless charging pads and well-designed storage and cargo spaces. The Escape is ready for longer weekend trips with its numerous cupholders and USB charging ports for all passengers.
In 2020, the Escape finished at the top for all Fords in the J.D. Power APEAL Study. Appeal stands for Automotive, Performance, Execution and Layout. This consumer-based study helps determine owners’ emotional attachment to their vehicles, among other things.
Other vehicle choices in the compact SUV class include the Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson, GMC Terrain, and used variations of the discontinued Saturn Vue and Pontiac Aztek. The Escape has exceptional towing capacity among its peers.
Today, Ford offers choices of hybrid models in the lineup.
