About the Honda Crosstour

What happens when you love the Honda Accord but need more rear storage than the Accord can provide? For about 108,000 customers spanning from 2010 to 2015, the answer was to buy a Honda Crosstour.

When it was first launched, Honda fully embraced the fact that the Crosstour was largely based on the Accord by calling it the Accord Crosstour. Later model years dropped the Accord name to try and market the Crosstour as more of a true SUV. Despite decent sales for some of its model years, Honda eventually discontinued the Crosstour in favor of more traditional SUVs.

The most recent Crosstour is a surprisingly sporty vehicle. Top trim levels come with a 278-horsepower engine that propels the Crosstour to 60 miles per hour in less than six seconds. At the same time, the Crosstour benefits from Honda’s signature engine performance to achieve an outstanding fuel economy of up to 30 miles per gallon.

Vehicles that compete in the same market as the Crosstour include the Toyota Venza, Subaru Crosstrek, Nissan Quest, and Acura RDX. For discerning drivers, the Crosstour offers the advantage of being able to choose between a five- or six-speed transmission. Plus, the clever window design of the Crosstour gives it better visibility than some of these competitors.

Safety is an important part of every Honda vehicle, and the Crosstour is no exception. The Crosstour earned “Good” ratings in the crash tests performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

For a solid vehicle that performs well and has plenty of interior space, the Honda Crosstour is an excellent option.
