Quality wiper blades clean the windshield better and last much longer than cheap blades. You don’t want an obscured view of the road in foul weather nor do you want to hear the blades squeaking across your windshield every time they wipe.
While Audis come from the factory with good quality wiper blades, they won’t last forever. It’s recommended to replace blades about once per year. When you start noticing deteriorating performance (streaking and squeaking), use the chart below to find the correct size wiper blades for your Audi A4.

About the Audi A4
The Audi A4 debuted in 1994 as the German automaker’s entry into the compact executive sedan segment, replacing the long-running Audi 80. It reached the United States for the 1996 model year, marking Audi’s renewed push into the premium compact market.
This move positioned Audi directly against established rivals like the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The original B5 generation introduced Audi’s modern design language and helped popularize the quattro all-wheel drive system in the premium compact segment.
Through six major generations, the A4 has evolved significantly. The B6 generation (2000–2006) brought more refined styling and improved interior quality. The B7 (2004–2008) featured subtle exterior updates and enhanced technology. The B8 generation (2008–2016) represented a major leap forward with lighter construction, more efficient engines, and improved chassis dynamics.
The B9 generation (2016–2023) introduced Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and MLB Evo platform. This iteration competed primarily against the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and newcomers like the Genesis G70. The platform provided improved handling dynamics and interior space while maintaining the A4’s reputation for build quality and refinement.
The current B10 generation launched for the 2024 model year with updated styling, advanced driver assistance systems, and electrified powertrains. Audi redesigned both the exterior and interior while retaining the A4’s core identity. Standard features now include a 12.3-inch digital cockpit and 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
In addition to the sedan, Audi has also offered wagon variants of the A4 in the U.S. The A4 Avant was sold through the B8 generation but was discontinued after 2012 due to low demand. To fill that niche, Audi introduced the A4 Allroad, a more rugged wagon with raised suspension and protective cladding.
Today’s A4 faces competition from the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Cadillac CT4, Lexus IS, and Genesis G70. While the global sedan market has contracted, the A4 remains a cornerstone of Audi’s lineup. Its blend of luxury, technology, and driving dynamics continues attracting buyers seeking a premium compact executive sedan experience.
